Technology is an amazing thing: it has brought the World together in ways we didn’t think it was possible. Having a smartphone or a computer is a gateway to explore our wonderful planet, to connect with the people that we love and to shorten the distances between countries that are thousands of miles away.
However, it has also been used to destroy the morale of nations, to terrorize millions of people and to communicate negative, depressing news. It has been used to bully, to humiliate and to drive people to commit heinous acts against others or, in many cases, against themselves.
My project is simple: I have an idea to help spread global happiness. I want to develop an App for iOS that will show the happy, nice and caring face of our planet, all in one place. It will record moments, actions and/or things that has brought a smile to our faces and, if someone is feeling down, just browsing on it will surely make their day a happier one! :)
What makes this app so unique
- #postitive is already being used in social media to tag positive and inspiring posts
- 100 Happy Days or the #100daysofhappiness challenge, an organic movement on the web, had a world-wide impact. It’s a sign that times are changing: happiness is catching.
- It will brighten people’s days to know that they are not alone in their search for happiness!!
