We do. We want to guarantee quality standards of the projects published.

How do I protect my patent or IP on AppsFunder?
When using AppsFunder for funding (part of) your development, you need to find the right balance between transparency and protection. The project owner decides which content is made public, and which remains private. Some guidelines:
- If you have IPs registered or pending, make it public. It adds value to your project. Potential copycats will be discouraged as well.
- Should your project have special algorithms, use special code, have extraordinary graphic components, describe them, use a sketch, use a chart, to make it tangible to potential funders, without disclosing your holy grail
- Please keep in mind that great ideas without execution are not worth a penny. As soon as you start disclosing information on the project to potential partners, investors, ...there's always a risk. But for these partners, your project is not part of their core business anyhow.
Which info do I need to provide?
When submitting your app on AppsFunder, you will be asked to provide:
- The name of your projectt

As we know speed is important, we want to keep the evaluation time as short as possible. The better the info you provide us, the faster we can approve or not.
Why do you use milestones?
Because we think it's a good way to increase chances for successful funding to projects. Project owners get parts of their total funding need earlier, and are boosted to move to the next milestone. Funders get a better view on the progress of a project, and can adjust their funding-attitude according the stage the project is in.
What are typical examples of milestones?
Typical examples can be:
- completed design of wineframes, mock-ups
- completed design of visual interfaces, screenshots
- functionality ready up to 80%
- private beta - version ready
- public beta-version ready
Who will define the milestones of a project?
You do. You can decide the milestones and their funding target when you submit your app on the site.
Is there a maximum term per milestone?
Yes, the maximum period for a single milestone is 3 months. Longer periods would considerably decrease the engagement by your funders.
Who will check when a milestone is completed?
We ask project providers to deliver us the evidence for having fulfilled the content of the milestone.
What happens when a project fails to realize a second or third milestone?
We will extend the funding period, and use all our strength to push it to the next milestone.
Will funders be informed when the project owner completed the realization of a milestone?
Yes, the community is alerted automatically. We updatie the project on the 'News'. We will provide material or links to the material so the community can check it.
