Higgins (My Personal Teachable Virtual Concierge.Real-World Liaison) - Sepetys & Associates LLC

This project unites rapidly blossoming technologies from several technical domains, providing a framework in which a mobile, personal, virtual concierge can be trained (without programming) to interact/serve as liaison to an individual's real world, besides the Internet-based services. The scope of this 60-day project will complete development of framework and starter-set capabilities by which one may verbally interact with "Higgins", your personal virtual concierge, who in turn serves as liaison with Internet-based and real-world resources on the individual's behalf. This 60-day project will be developed for the Android platform. (An Apple/IOS version is planned for the future but is not included in this 60-day project. Third stage would include Microsoft Windows 8 mobile if market penetration warrants).

A key design element is that Higgins is teachable without programming. The project includes a framework which allows adding "plug-and-play" modules of functionality (think "engrams" a la Star Trek), including ability to teach Higgins to logically put those "engrams" to good use. Included in the starter set will be capabilities for Higgins to liaise with your home (i.e., basic home-automation-based capabilities such as turning lights on/off, opening/closing shades on command, etc.) besides liaising with a starter set of Internet-based services which will allow Higgins to handle some basic requests without you having to sit down and start typing.

The framework that Higgins uses in learning new capabilities actually provides a platform, not just one-time product. As new "engrams" are developed by Higgins enthusiasts, they can be shared over social media allowing Higgins' virtual concierge repertoire to expand organically, Though starting as "Higgins", it is imagined that many will substitute individually-styled names, voices reflecting their personal tastes, preferences and portfolio of virtual concierge duties and communication style.
